Meet the Instructor

Tammy Pecho

With a passion for the beauty industry that spans over three decades, Tammy has dedicated her career to sharing knowledge and empowering others to succeed. Since 1986, she has been deeply immersed in the world of beauty, educating people around the world in the current nail trends and innovations.

In 1998, she took a significant step forward by opening the first nails-only school in the area, "The Academy of Nail Technology," a renowned institution that quickly became a cornerstone of excellence in nail education. Over the years, she had the privilege of training thousands of individuals, equipping them with the skills and expertise needed to thrive as successful nail technicians.

Recognizing the importance of ongoing education, in 2009, she expanded her offerings to include continuing education programs as an IDFPR CE Sponsor for licensed beauty professionals in Illinois. This initiative marked a pivotal moment in her journey, as she committed to providing quality education that elevates the standards of the industry.

As the founder and owner of National Beauty Training, she has remained steadfast in her mission to empower beauty professionals through comprehensive continuing education. "Each year, we have the honor of serving thousands of salon professionals, conducting classes ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale events with up to 750 attendees."

In 2019, Tammy spearheaded the advocacy for virtual learning within the industry, pioneering the broadcast of CE classes as the first IDFPR Continuing Education Sponsor to do so. This groundbreaking approach not only enhanced accessibility but also revolutionized how beauty professionals engage with continuing education.

"Today, I am blessed to be able to continue my journey as an educator, having facilitated over 50,000 online CE classes and countless in-person sessions for Illinois salon professionals. It's a privilege to play a role in shaping the future of our industry and empowering professionals to thrive in their careers."
